Golf Entertainment Operator Secures Major Abu Dhabi Expansion at Yas Bay Waterfront

Golf entertainment operator opens Abu Dhabi venue at Yas Bay Waterfront in 2026.

Five Iron Golf will open its newest venue at Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in mid-August 2026, extending the company’s international footprint across 20 states and 7 countries. The facility spans nearly 30,000 square feet and brings together golf simulation technology, dining, bars, private event spaces, and a 12,000-square-foot waterfront terrace overlooking Yas Bay.

The Abu Dhabi location will house 12 Trackman-powered golf simulators alongside multiple bars and dedicated spaces for corporate events, lessons, leagues, celebrations, and live entertainment. The waterfront terrace adds lawn games and its own bar. Founding memberships are available in limited quantities ahead of the opening date.

Five Iron Golf is backed by Coral Tree Partners, North Castle Partners, Callaway Golf, and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments. That investor lineup reflects the company’s positioning at the intersection of sports technology and hospitality, a model it has used to drive expansion across North America and into the Middle East, Europe, and beyond.

Jared Solomon, Co-Founder and CEO, described the move as consistent with the company’s founding purpose. “Five Iron has always been about making golf more accessible while creating places people want to spend time,” Solomon said. “Abu Dhabi gives us the opportunity to introduce that experience to a new audience in one of the world’s most exciting entertainment destinations.”

The Yas Island site places Five Iron Golf inside a dense entertainment corridor. The venue sits minutes from Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Arena, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Yas Links Golf Course. A new Disney theme park and the Sphere are also planned for the island, signaling continued investment in the area as a regional destination.

Matt Csillag, Partner of Five Iron Golf UAE, framed the opening as a strategic marker. “Opening on Yas Island represents much more than another location for Five Iron Golf,” Csillag said. “It’s an important milestone in our vision of redefining how people experience the game of golf and social entertainment across the Middle East.”

The Abu Dhabi facility will also display commissioned artwork by six artists: Rabab Tantawy, Anna Tangles, Kav Ahangar, Ibrahim Zaki, Fink 22, and Sneak Hotep. Their work draws on Formula 1-inspired design, Arabic calligraphy, geometric installations, and contemporary street art. Five Iron describes the result as an immersive cultural experience reflecting UAE creativity.

By contrast with a conventional golf venue, Five Iron’s business model targets both experienced players and non-golfers, blending competitive simulator play with social gathering and dining. That dual appeal has underpinned the company’s growth across North America and its push into international markets over recent years.

Whether the Abu Dhabi venue can anchor further Middle East expansion, as Yas Island itself continues to grow, remains the question the company’s next few years will answer.
